New Construction
If you are interested in a new-construction home, a typical home buyer consultation may include questions related to your requirements in a home (e.g., number of bedrooms and baths), budget, neighborhood and school district preferences, level of maintenance in a home, as well as whether you have talked to a lender and got pre-approval. Initial consultations typically take about 15 to 20 minutes — usually by phone/zoom— in order to determine your general preferences and then we will take you on a first round of showings to start narrowing down those preferences. Budget can also be an indicator of whether new construction may be a good option. Our role is to educate you the buyer with the entire new construction home buying process. New construction has its own set of issues, solutions and we will take you step by step throughout the entire process until closing, including discussing the types of new construction (e.g., production, semi-custom, custom, inventory) and which would be the best fit for you. Price point and community location are also important factors for you to consider, as well as time frame and the level of customization, all of which can go into your decision of whether you want to build from scratch or look for an inventory or spec home that is nearly or completely finished. We will reach out to builders ahead of time and gather all details concerning inventory, site maps, school info, HOA info and make it our top priority to get all your questions answered. We will provide support and guidance as needed until and after closing.
